Felix Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" needs little or no introduction for many people in the English speaking Western World as a it is commonly used during wedding ceremonies. Mendelssohn wrote the piece as incidental music for Shakespeare's play A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1842. Generally only part of the composition is played at weddings and it is usually played on a church pipe organ. This version in particular is the the very music you would hear at a wedding but played on a grand piano. It is slightly different to the original extract but perhaps closer to what you normally hear. This version is fifty seconds longs and is played with Gusto to give the piece some more Grandeur and lift.
This copyright free and royalty free music version is played on a Grand Piano for the specific purpose of offering the Wedding director/organiser or media producer/film maker a different choice of arrangement and style to cater for their particular production needs. Please see the rest of the Wedding Music section for different arrangements, interpretations and other wedding music pieces. Suitable for religious and civil weddings and all kinds of media productions, including Film production, dramas, documentaries, radio jingles, website development and podcasting.
