An ambient track with modern drum (break beat) and vocal samples. Spatial in feel and sound this piece of royalty free music utilizes nicely synthesizers to create a dreamy state. Perhaps in places there is a sound of jean Michel Jarre due to the great synthesizer lines but the break beat drum line that is slightly distorted gives this piece an added dimension giving it a trance like and contemporary feel.
As the title suggests the firmament or space is the theme and sampled discussions between astronauts features in places. There is a sense of technology about this piece but also the great unknown and this music will lend itself very well to sci fi programs, documentaries and films.
Space has a medium slow tempo and a running time of one minute and fifty six seconds. The production quality is very high and the arrangement and composition have been well thought out. To suit all kinds of media and due to its length could easily be used as a theme tune.
